So I’m finally back after a 2 week break (although I have been reading everyone’s new posts during study breaks!) Thank you to everyone for all your well wishes and support. They honestly mean a lot to me and my family.
Why I actually disappeared…
I realised that when I disappeared it was kinda sudden At the beginning of the year my dad had a slipped disc in his spine, and after some cortisol injections and a number of other procedures it was recommended that he should undergo surgery to perhaps shave the disc. I’m not too sure what actually ended up happening, but apparently it was in the nick of time, as the doctor said his spinal cord was hanging on by a thread! So they managed to fix up the disc and his cord. After about a month in hospital and rehab he’s back home – although still sore!
On top of this I had my exam and assignments to do. Usually I’m quite good at balancing things, however since last semester I completely screwed up my perfect GPA, I had to work real hard this time not to destroy it further! So much regret over last semester, but after doing my exam, I’m feeling quite good, I know I’ve tried my best, and at the end of the day that’s all I can do!
I’m going to try and start posting over the next few days – just gotta watch some things first, so I actually have something to write about!
Some exciting news!!!
So I turned 21 last week which was very exciting! Unfortunately since I had to study, I could only spare half a day relaxing. I’m hoping to have an incredibly small, personal birthday party after my friend’s have finished exams. I’ve been to a couple of really big 21st parties (50+ people) and I find that ones with heaps of people seem a bit disconnecting. So I thought just a really small and chill party where we play some wii games, and drink some tea might be nice.
Tomorrow I’ll finally be dyeing my hair! I’ve always wanted to do it since I was like 14, and figured I might as well do it now. My hair is a dark brown, and I’m thinking of going a golden blonde. Am super nervous, but am hoping it will turn out well!
Also some even more exciting news! I got an email a week ago saying that I was accepted into a South Korean cultural study trip organised by my University! I’ll be there throughout January so there will be heaps and heaps of Dumpling Adventure posts during then. I’m a massive fan of unique cafes, so I’m hoping I can check out the sheep and dog cafe I’ve heard about online! I’m a tad nervous about not really making good friends, but after going on my exchange last year, I realised you don’t always have to travel with other people. Sometimes it’s actually better to go around by yourself (although it’s always nice to have company).
So that’s pretty much what’s happened to me in the last 2 weeks. Hope everyone else has been well, sending good luck and well wishes to everyone ^_^!
