It’s the final part of the Fall Impressions series for 2016. To be honest, I haven’t checked out as many series as I thought I would. Mainly because a lot of the series don’t really appeal to me. Only a few of the ones I have watched, I’ve actually enjoyed, which has been a bit disappointing. Especially after a stand out summer season! Anyway y’all know the drill!
Check out the full list of fall anime series at Anichart. Just a quick rundown of my voting scales:
0-2: Wow that’s part of my life I’ll never get back
2-3: Reasonable, would need to watch the next one or two episodes to see if it’s worth continuing
4-5: That was absolutely fantastic! Give me the next episode now!
I don’t quite know where to start with this. There’s a high school boy who runs his own Occult blog, a psychic who puts curses on people, a medium and a few other randoms. The first episode was an absolute mess, and I suppose it was set out that way. Audiences are meant to piece the puzzle together. But I wasn’t drawn in as much as should have been. The main character is horrendously annoying, and his ‘friend’ is literally only there for fan service. A pretty big disappointment for a series I was looking forward to 1/5

When I heard there was going to be anime about making a dictionary, I was exactly jumping for joy. The series follows a young, socially awkward man, as he joins a dictionary editorial department, and I guess…become friends through making a dictionary together? Sarcasm aside, I did quite enjoy the first episode. The animation was pretty good, and the characters quite lively. For some reason I thought this was going to be a BL anime, and was pretty disappointed to find out it’s not. A combination of that, and it not being interesting to me, is why I won’t be continuing it. However it does seem like it’ll be a great series. 3/5
This was by far, the most disappointing episode of the season. I didn’t realise I could feel so much disappointment and disgust in just 3 minutes. The series is based of the highly popular horror game by the same name. 5 friends explore a haunted house, only to be trapped and chased by a blue [Ao] (which is actually purple) monster. While the actual game was serious, and only became popular from you tubers making fun of it. The short anime series TRIES to be humour, but instead is so incredibly cringe worthy. I was looking forward to a great short horror series and instead got this shit. 0/5
