It starts out like your typical horror film. A group of friends go camping in the woods, and mess with some spooky shit. They’re slowly hunted down by red-neck zombies, and are freaking out – but why are people watching them? Why is there an entire NASA-esque company keeping tabs on them like some reality TV show? ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ is by far one of the most unique horror films I’ve ever watched. It’s almost like the ‘Scream’ of this generation – a film that pokes fun at itself. I highly recommend checking out this weirdly fun film on Halloween. 9/10
That’s it for the Kuro Sama Review’s Halloween Special. I hope you guys all enjoyed it! Happy Halloween.

It does! I’ve heard rumours of a sequel going around, and I really hope they make one. This was honestly such a good film.

This is the first film that made me pay attention to Fran Kranz, but besides that it was just plain fun to watch. It was a true passion project that loves to toy with the already preconceived tropes of the genre in a darkly fun kind of way and I still watch it every Halloween. I remember watching it when it originally came out in theaters, still worth every dollar.

I really want to check out more of Fran Kanz’s work, because he was absolutely amazing in this film. I wish I had seen it on the big screen, it must have been amazing.

I know he does have a new film out this year, it came out on Netflix I believe and its called Rebirth. It is better to go into it with little context, let’s just say there is a cult and Fran Kranz is going to see what all the hubbub is about. All good fun.
