So I’m celebrating a little bit today, this post is officially my 300th post on ‘Two Happy Cats’! I’ve been running Two Happy Cats since September 2015, so while 300 posts may seem like a lot, I probably should have written a bit more over the last two and a bit years (>_<) . But any who, I’m here, I’m posting a bit sporadically but posting none-the-less and I’m darn proud of my blog! So I figured 300 was a pretty wholesome number and it was a good chance to reflect on my posts and announce some fun news!

Firstly A Quick Sorry!
I’m pretty sure I write this in every update post, but honestly I’m just hopeless. I just wanted to say a big sorry to everyone who has posted comments on my blog. I get so excited reading everyone’s comments, but then completely freak out when it comes to replying. I can’t think of anything funny, witty or intelligent to say, and I overthink it until it’s been a few days. I really hope this hasn’t put anyone off, I really do appreciate every single comment I get on the blog, it honestly makes me so happy. I’m just so silly, and will definitely be screwing my head on properly for the next year and answering those comments as they come in 😀
This Weekend – MadFest
Thanks to the awesome team at Madman, I will be attending MadFest this weekend. MadFest happens all over Australia and is an anime specific convention. The con has some really exciting events happening like a talk with Shinichiro Watanabe (director of ‘Cowboy Bebop’), a exhibition of Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name) and Attack on Titan and lots AND lots of merchandise stores. I’m ready to do a whole bunch of shopping and take heaps of pictures!
Throughout the weekend I will be posting about MadFest on my Instagram account and on my Instagram story. It’ll be my first time using Instagram story for an extended period of time, but I thought it would be exciting for everyone to see what I’m doing in real time, and feel like they’re at the con with me. To view my story you need to be following me on instagram, which you can check out here!
Coffee Time~
I’ve recently signed up to ‘Ko-Fi’ which is secure website that allows you guys to buy me a coffee, if you want to. I’ve already received a coffee from one super lovely follower called Twizz, wherever you are in the world Twizz, I’m sending you so many internet hugs and love.
Future Plans
I have a few ideas swimming around in my head, but I’m unsure if I should post them now. I tend to post all these grand plans for my blog, but then life gets in the way and they never work out. So I guess everything I write here should be labelled ‘hopeful future plans’!
Firstly, I’m really happy with the way my blog is going. I’ve been trying to balance my posts between otome games, seasonal anime, manga and BL reviews. I gotta say that my blog has been leaning more towards Otome games, just because there’s so many of them coming out so quickly. I am planning to put up my BL reviews, hopefully including BL anime, manga and games rather than just webtoons (like I’ve been posting recently). I’d also like to post about some more manga series that discuss important issues within society, like my post on Perfect World – it just depends on whether I can find these series!
My current debate on my blog is whether or not I should continue to post about things going on in my personal life. I love hearing people’s feedback, and a lot of the time the feedback helps me through tough times/ situations, like when I discussed my turmoil surrounding my hair. Some, if not most, parts of my life are quite negative and depressing, and I don’t want to ‘bring down’ the positive atmosphere I try to create with my blog. I want my blog to be a positive environment to celebrate all the fun things in life. Although on the other hand, I don’t want my blog to feel too manufactured and impersonal. Part of the reason I started blogging was to make blogging friends, how can I make friends if you guys don’t know the real me?
My solution to this issue was a series called ‘Monthly Meowsings’ [name subject to change cause I’m awful at puns]. Anywho the idea is that I muse about a topic that I’ve been thinking about this month that involves my personal life. That way you all get a little insight into my life. For example, a potential topic for November was discussing envy and social media. I was thinking these musing posts would be a little light harder, but just generally express how I’m feeling. Anywho, keen to hear what you lovely cats think about it 🙂
That’s it from me for now. Hope everyone had a spooky Halloween~
300?!
This is madness!

Alas, even if they went to the nearest city that’s still too far for me to travel unless I’m on leave from work (or just happen to have work related travel). Problem with Australia is it is just too big.

Congrats on the milestone! As for your debate on what to do with your blog… do whatever you feel comfortable with, and your followers will almost certainly follow along with whatever you decide to do 🙂
Before I ran my current site MoeGamer, I had a relatively “directionless” site (https://angryjedi.wordpress.com) in which I just posted pretty much anything I felt like every day, and that worked well for me, and the people who followed appreciated the variety of things I talked about too.
At the same time, there is value to focusing on something or having some “structure” to what you choose to write about when. Your “Monthly Meowsings” idea sounds like a good way to balance the two approaches!

You’re welcome. I am actually thinking about signing up to try it out. If it helps me, I will keep it. I think this a good way of telling writers that they are doing a great job. Thank you for telling me this. 🙂
